Dr. Sarah Abdou, DPM, received her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from New York Institute of Technology. She completed her surgical residency training at Saint Michaels Medical Center in Newark, NJ. During her third year of residency, Dr. Abdou served as Chief resident, supervising all podiatry residents and assigning surgical and clinical responsibilities to her fellow residents. She also served as a liaison between the program director and the resident staff.
Dr Abdou was trained in diabetic limb salvage, wound care, biomechanics, paediatrics, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She believes in early diabetic foot screening and preventative medicine and treatment.
Dr. Abdou was born and raised in Brooklyn and is excited to give back to her community. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
During her free time, Dr. Abdou enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. She also loves to travel and try food from different cultures.
